Savor Exceptional Wines from Trevelen Farm's Vines
Founded by John and Katie Spriggs in 1993, Trevelen Farm is the northernmost vineyard in the Great Southern wine region of Australia. The winery was born from a passion for cultivating high-quality grapes, marking the beginning of a rich viticultural history. The vineyard was established as an extension of their farming activities, making it a unique addition to the Great Southern Wine Region.
Ideal Conditions for Grape Growth
Trevelen Farm benefits from a climate that is perfect for grape cultivation, featuring well-drained soils that support a variety of grape types. The vineyard produces Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Additionally, it sources Semillon, Shiraz, and Merlot grapes from established partner vineyards in the Frankland River sub-region. Due to its strategic location, Trevelen Farm is less affected by summer coastal rains and the associated viticultural diseases, allowing for organic grape production.
Award-Winning Vintages
Trevelen Farm has gained recognition at various wine shows across Australia, consistently earning medals for its current vintages. Notable events include the Perth Royal Show, Melbourne Royal Show, Hobart International Wine Show, International Riesling Challenge, Wine Show of WA, and the Small Winemakers Show in Stanthorpe, Qld. The winery has also received accolades in respected wine publications, such as Winestate Magazine, which frequently rates their wines highly.
