Via Vinera: A New Era in Winemaking Since 2018

Via Vinera Winery, established in 2018, showcases the belief that great wine is a blend of nature and craftsmanship. The winery emphasizes meticulous care and dedication, ensuring that each bottle reflects the unique character of the region.

In 2014, one of Via Vinera’s vintage wines received notable recognition from the Asian edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards.

Celebrating Traditional Bulgarian Varieties

Located in Northern Thrace, Via Vinera is a proud extension of the Karabunar wine cellar, which has deep roots in local winemaking traditions. The winery focuses on traditional Bulgarian grape varieties, particularly Dimyat and Misket, which have garnered acclaim in international competitions. The Bulgarian Heritage Collection’s Dimyat and Misket vintage wines were highlighted in the 2014 Decanter World Wine Awards, showcasing the quality of the region's offerings. Additionally, the winery produces a diverse range of international varieties, including Roubin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc.

Inspired by Tradition and Terroir

At Via Vinera, only the finest grapes from the Karadunar and Kilifarevo regions are selected for winemaking. The unique terroir of these areas contributes to the distinct flavors and aromas of the wines. The winery is committed to honoring Bulgaria's rich winemaking heritage while crafting wines that resonate with both local and global wine enthusiasts.

Yesterday bought in Lidl a bottle of Via Vinera( Sarah Cabinet Franc). - The best wine I've tried in years! From now on I'm a regular buyer. Will try to visit this vinery to taste other vines they produce.

We stopped at Via Vinera on the off chance when in the area and could not have had a nicer welcome. They gave us a tour of their beautiful winery during harvest and we learnt so much. The wine is delicious - well worth buying a few bottles. A fantastic place.

Wow, even though tastings aren't actually possible, we were given a friendly welcome and were able to buy a bottle to drink straight away and were given glasses to borrow.
