The wines produced on the farm are based on traditional Bulgarian grape varieties of Dimyat and Misket
The Via Vinera wine farm was established in 2018 in Northern Thrace as a new brand under the Karabunar wine cellar to produce products for connoisseurs of truly excellent wine. The wine cellar at Via Vinera was built in 2007 in the Sharovitsa area near the village of Karabunar where vineyards and wine have always been a great part of the local culture and heritage. The wines produced on the farm are based on traditional Bulgarian grape varieties of Dimyat and Misket and have been recognized and acknowledged in various international wine competitions. In 2014 the Bulgarian Heritage Collection’s Dimyat and Misket vintage wines won special recommendations from the Asian edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the most prestigious wine competitions in the world. Along with these grapes, others that are produced on the farm include Roubin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc.
The wines of the winery are inspired by the desire to continue the centuries-old traditions of winemaking of the region
The winery uses only the highest quality grapes harvested from its own vineyards in the Karadunar and Kilifarevo regions where the unique terroir adds to the character and flavor of the wines produced. The wines of the estate are inspired by the desire to continue the centuries-old traditions of winemaking in Bulgaria.
