Traditional Bulgarian Grape Varieties of Dimyat and Misket
Via Vinera Winery was established in 2018 in Northern Thrace as a new brand under the Karabunar wine cellar to produce excellent wine products for connoisseurs. A new wine cellar was built in 2007 in the Sharovitsa area near Karabunar, where winemaking has always been a significant part of the local culture and heritage. The wines produced on the farm are based on traditional Bulgarian grape varieties of Dimyat and Misket and have been recognized and acknowledged in various international wine competitions. In 2014 the Bulgarian Heritage Collection’s Dimyat and Misket vintage wines won unique recommendations from the Asian edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards, one of the world’s most prestigious wine competitions. Other international wines produced at the winery include Roubin, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc.
The Winery’s Inspiration
Via Vinera Winery uses only the highest quality grapes harvested from its vineyards in the Karadunar and Kilifarevo regions. The unique terroir of the area adds to the character and flavor of the wines produced. The wines of the estate are inspired by the desire to continue the centuries-old winemaking traditions of Bulgaria.
