Dragomir Winery Estate, Two Bulgarian Scientists Realizing their Dreams

Dragomir Winery Estate was built from the dream of two Bulgarian scientists who had a vision of changing people’s perceptions of Bulgarian wines. Their dream was to create wines that are attractive, interesting and which offer a range of tasting experiences under the different brands on offer. The wines have also become known for their constant quality throughout the years based on the experiences of the winemakers and their passion for experimentation.

The wines at Dragomir Winery Estate undergo mandatory aging in the bottle for up to 12 months.

The Winery’s Production

The wines that are produced at Dragomir Winery are mostly blends made from the grapes of only the best quality of vines which are carefully controlled and monitored throughout the year. These grapes are then used to produce a total quantity of 60 000 bottles per year. There is a limited quantity of wine which means that some brands are limited, some are more specifically for wine connoisseurs. Before the wines are distributed they undergo mandatory aging in the bottle for up to 12 months.

International Acclaim and Immortality Nectar

Although Dragomir Winery is only two years old, the wines have already achieved international recognition, especially as their Karizma wine won the Silver Medal at the exhibition Vinalies Internationales in Paris. The style of the wines produced has become known as one that expresses the concept of blending different varieties of grapes to make a complex wine with rich flavors and aromas. One of the most well known young wines, Amrita, has been described as ‘immortality nectar’ as when it is made, very little technology is used, and it is based on nature itself. Dragomir Wines are the perfect wines for relaxing after a long day or to enjoy while chatting with friends.
