Villa Yustina Winery, Founded in 2006

Villa Yustina Winery was founded in 2006, and 2008 it was made famous through the planting of the first 20 hectares of vineyards. Later in 2014, the vineyards were doubled to 42 hectares. With the Euro Project’s help in 2013, the winery was entirely built with a new wine cellar, which is now the perfect example of Bulgaria’s modern wine industry. The winery is situated along the Rhodopi Mountains outskirts in Ustina Village, 26 km from Plovdiv – a region with a significant and far-reaching wine history.

The winery’s vision is to produce small amounts of high-quality boutique wine aged in specially curated barrels.

Varieties Grown at the Winery

The vineyards of Villa Yustina Winery are located 4 km away from the winery on a slope of 300m in altitude. The vineyards’ position is northeastern facing where the terroir is perfect for the growth of Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Chardonnay, Aligote, Gewurztraminer, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Mavrud, and Rubin varietals. The winery goal is to create quality still and sparkling wines from grapes sourced from their very own vineyards and to develop tourism to the estate and the greater region.

Awards and Medals for their Wines

A unique aspect of the estate is its experimental base showroom of Tomika Metal AD, which allows them to produce different wine styles using the latest technologies and competing on the international winemaking market. The success of this is evident in the various awards and medals that the wines have received from international wine competitions.
