Villa Vinifera Winery, Since 1936
Villa Vinifera Winery is situated in the heart of the mountains near Brestovitsa and was established in 1936. The estate was built by a German architect with the highest level of professionalism and was initially named Misket. The winery has never stopped producing the finest quality wines and prides itself on producing limited edition wines for its valued guests and customers. The winery staff has a passion for wine and wine production, and their efforts show in the unique taste of the wines produced.
Villa Vinifera Winery produces ice wine, as well a unique collection for guests to preserve their own barrel of wine.
The Winery’s Wine Production
At Villa Vinifera, each bottle of wine is produced with love and careful attention. The vineyards can create the most excellent grapes because of the ideal climatic conditions and their geographical location. The estate produces Mavrud, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Muscat, Chardonnay, and Traminer to create a range of wines that satisfy many different wine drinkers. All wines are fermented in large oak vats, further improving its flavor and aroma. The winery boasts three levels of winemaking at its facility where the historic oak barrels can be found.
The Range of Wines at Villa Vinifera
The winery has an annual production capacity of about 6700 bottles. A large portion is set aside to age. The winery has five lines of wine, King’s red wine and King’s white wine, both fruit-forward New World-style single-varietal wines of Cabernet Sauvignon, Mavrud, Merlot, Muscat, Traminer, Chardonnay. They have barrel-fermented wines with more complex single varietal wines aged in barrels, made following Old World principles. Villa Vinifera creates a unique collection rosé from Mavrud, the La Cave blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, and the succulent ice wine made from Mavrud, and the VIP Collection private firms can have barrels of wine set aside for their own use.
