The wines at Four Friends Winery are made using classic winemaking methods using mostly manual processes, the key to creating exceptional quality wine.
The First Vineyards Planted
In 2006, the first vineyards of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet France, and Petit Verdot were planted following a careful study of the terrain and the terroir of the region. As early as 2010, the vines started to bear fruit that was hand-harvested to avoid the grapes becoming damaged and manually sorted to ensure that only the best berries are used in the winemaking process. The wines are then made using classic winemaking methods using mostly manual labor– the key to creating exceptional quality wine.
The Winery Production
Every year 400 thousand litres of wine are produced, resulting in approximately 300 thousand bottles of wine fermented in vats allowing for the process to be carefully controlled.
Four Friends Winery is the perfect location to witness where modern equipment and technology meet European quality standards and traditions in processing red and white grapes into wine.
