Production of Wines with Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
At the end of the 17th century is when the tale of Villa Di Corlo began. Now, the estate has belonged to the Jacobazzi family for over 100 years. Antonia Jacobazzi’s grandmother gifted the estate to Antonia and her husband as a wedding gift. Today, the estate produces top-quality wines and traditional balsamic vinegar of Modena DOP, under the guidance of expert winemaker Alberto Musatti.
Wines under different Labels
Villa Di Corlo winery is the reputed cultivator of a broad line of grape varieties, out of which Lambrusco holds the title of flagship vine.
Along with that, Antonia grows fruity Pignoletto, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, combined with Chardonnay. The berries are carefully selected to produce high-end red and white wines, paired with dessert and sparkling wines, all under authentic DOC and IGT labels.
Wine Casks
Special attention has been given to the structure of the cellar that expresses the essence of rurality and culture. The winery uses classic-style casks, made from different woods, for efficient ageing and refining. Upon your visit to the cellar, you will find that some vinegar bottles, such as that of Extra Vecchio, are over 25 years old.
