The Cellars at Vina Bržan

The stone-built cellar with the typical Istrian courtyard is a constituent part of the homestead, which is situated in the hamlet Burji, on the very top of the Marezige hill, from where visitors can enjoy a magnificent view of the Gulf of Koper and the wider surroundings all the way to Triglav. Refošk and Cipro mature in wooden oak barrels while for the purpose of cellaring and maturing of Malvazija stainless steel wine tanks are used.

Vineyards for Exquisite wines

The winery has three plots cultivating grapes for their premium wines. The oldest of them contains vines over 150 years old. This shows that their ancestors knew how important location was for the vine and the right location needs to have the correct inclination, structure of the soil, and exposure to the sun to become the perfect home for this plant. In the continuation of the story of Lunčavec, in 1995 they planted grafts, which were grown in the vineyard especially using grafts of 150-year-old Refoška ""Raška rosa"" vines. The youngest of their vineyards was set up in 2012, on top of Marežgan hill, directly exposed to the influence of the sea, sun, and winds. All this is reflected in the special and first-class quality of grapes.

Nice place with a terrific view. The deal is: buy three bottles of wine (EUR 8,00 - 12,00 / Bottle) and stay for the night with your camper. Showers are additional EUR 2 person/ night. I think it's a fair deal.

A great place to stop and stay overnight. The hosts were very friendly. Panoramic view of Koper Izola and Trieste. We liked the wine so much that we stayed an extra night 😉

Great spot with a fantastic view, my boyfriend and I stayed at the campsite for 2 nights in mid-November. Here you can buy wine instead of paying an overnight fee. That was perfect for us!! This is exactly what we were looking for on our road trip. The site is on a meadow with a view all the way to Koper. Tip (long power cable is an advantage): the walking path through the forest is 2m away. You only have to cross a street into the courtyard to get to the toilet/shower, but it is modern and very clean! The family was very friendly!! We started the first evening with a wine tasting and were served homemade and local snacks!! Sooo super sweet right by the fireplace! Highly recommended!

Ideal camper stop when passing through or just for fun. The most necessary equipment is available. Sanitary facilities are clean and well maintained. Electricity in the front area. Excellent view from the hill, highly recommended. + Here you get a nice glass of wine for your money as a pitch 🍷 (or something else). Great concept!🙋🏼‍♂️

The place was beautiful for one night. The view is breathtaking and the wine was also very tasty. For one night on the property we were asked to buy three bottles of wine between €10 and €15 per bottle. We were also given the great offer of helping with the harvest. However, we were unable to do this because we were leaving the next day.
