A Winery Tradition Continued for Generations

Housed in one of the villages’ oldest hamlet houses, the elegant and inviting Heuriger Stuttner wine tavern is owned by the Stuttner family who has been greatly involved in pressing wines since the early 1800s. Their vineyard and winery are located on the south and south-west slopes of Bisamberg, just outside Vienna, and are almost exclusively managed by hand.

The Rich and Elegant Wines Derived From the Mountains

Bisamberg has a distinctive terroir that is suited for mineral wines. Traditional Weinviertel grade wine varieties flourish on its calcareous sandstone and marl soils from the flysch zone, which are partly covered in thick loess and black earth layers. Furthermore, the warm Panonian climate that dominates the Bisamberg vineyards are located between 200 and 300 meters above sea level providing ideal conditions for wines that capture the unique minerality. The vineyard is abode to Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, two regionally typical white wine types, that are cultivated, meticulously picked, and pressed by hand. The wines produced here are all aged exclusively in oak and/or stainless steel tanks, both in the barrel and in the bottle.

A true gem – excellent food and first class service! I had the pleasure of visiting this wonderful restaurant and it was an all around great experience. As soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed and escorted to our table. From the start, the service was attentive, professional and extremely friendly - just the right mix of restraint and courtesy. The food was simply excellent. Every dish was prepared with attention to detail, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the creativity of the kitchen. The wine selection was also excellent and perfectly matched to the food. The atmosphere was pleasant and stylish – a place where you immediately feel at home. You can tell that people work here with passion and that is reflected in every detail. All in all a perfect evening! I can fully recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back.

A bold new opening with culinary sophistication - an experience that lasts! There are places that burn themselves into the hearts of guests not only through their menu, but through their entire atmosphere. This newly acquired Heuriger/Restaurant Stuttnerhof is just such a place, which boldly sets itself apart from the traditional Heuriger culture and yet still retains a touch of it. Anyone expecting just an ordinary Heuriger here will be surprised - in the best sense of the word. Old flair meets creative cuisine This used to be a classic Heuriger, popular and appreciated. But if you are honest, you know: There are Heurigers in abundance in this area - often good, but also very similar. It is all the more refreshing that the new owners have dared to create something unique. Half a Heurigen experience remains, but it is complemented by exquisite, creative cuisine that goes far beyond the usual roast pork and platter of snacks. Here, chefs are at the stove who create new worlds of taste with passion and skill - and you can taste it! The food? A poem! The dishes are not only artfully presented, but also a true feast for the palate. Seasonal ingredients, perfectly coordinated flavors and an innovative interpretation of classic dishes make every dish an experience. There is nothing off the shelf here - every menu is a small masterpiece. Those who appreciate this will understand that quality has its price. Of course it is more expensive than in a conventional Heurigen, but here you get Michelin level. Service with heart and soul What use is the best food if the atmosphere is not right? Fortunately, the staff is just as exceptional as the kitchen. The waiters are attentive, charming and manage to maintain a relaxed but still upscale mood. You feel welcome, almost like a regular, even if it is your first visit. And that is exactly what makes the difference! A small appeal to critics Yes, change is not always easy - and some people wish the old Heurigen back. But let's be honest: If that is exactly what you are looking for, there are enough alternatives in the area. This restaurant is an asset to the region, brings new momentum and shows the courage to be individual. So instead of giving 1-star reviews in frustration, you should be happy that something new has been created here - something that inspires people and regularly ensures full tables. Conclusion: An absolute must for connoisseurs If you are just looking for a typical Heuriger, you should look elsewhere. But if you are curious, have open-minded taste buds and want to experience an unforgettable evening with excellent food and top service, this is the right place for you. This restaurant has the potential to set culinary standards in the region - and rightly so!
