The Weingut Fritz Walter winery and estate is situated in the beautiful region of Südpfalz in Germany. The vineyards of the farm grow the grape varietals of Riesling, Burgunder, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller, Gewürztraminer, Müller Thurgau, Dornfelder, St. Laurent, Syrah, Merlot and Spätburgunder. These varietals are used to produce a range of red, white, rose and sparkling wines.
Different Wines and Their Characteristics
The white wines of Weingut Fritz Walter are characteristic of the south palatinate region.
They carry the flavours of the sun and bring life and enjoyment to all who drink them.
These white wines are easy to drink and are the perfect accompaniment to many dishes. The Weingut Fritz Walter winery’s red wines are all quite similar in terms of alcohol content and flavour intensity because of the techniques used to achieve their deep red colour. These red wines are full of personality and a pleasure to drink. The rose wines produced on the estate can be described as lively, fruity, crisp and with a refreshing acidity. These wines are made to impress with their pop of pink colour and fruity cheekiness.
Excellent Quality Wines
The wine makers at Weingut Fritz Walter have produced a range of premium wines known as the Eckhard Walter range. The excellent wines are based on the perfect quality of the grapes used to produce them thanks to intensive care and manual work in the vineyard. The harvests of these grapes are very small and the grapes are fermented in wooden barrels and stored for just over a year in the vaulted cellar for ripening. The wines included in this range are the Eckhard Walter Cuvee White, the Eckhard Walter Gray Burgundy, the Eckhard Walter Riesling, the Eckhard Walter Merlo and the Eckhard Walter Cuvee Cabernet.
