Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Winery is located in the heart of the Pfalz winegrowing region between Speyer and Neustadt’s scenic areas on the Wine Route. The estate is surrounded by lush countryside and fertile soils, giving rise to high-quality wines.

Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Winery has been a certified organic wine producer since 2015.

Fifth Generation and the Winery Operations

Today, the winery is managed by the fifth generation of the Nett Family. The estate became a certified producer of organic wines in 2015. Later in 2017, the estate underwent a completed renovation due to the increasing popularity of their wines. Now, Bergdolt-Reif & Nett is equipped with modern machinery and innovative technology combined with a pinch of traditional methods. In some of the best vineyards, the vines are worked using horsepower, an ancient practice relaunched in 2011.

The Main Varieties Grown and Replanting

With immense respect for biodiversity and the natural surroundings, Bergdolt-Reif & Nett Winery replanted 50-year-old vineyards in 2004 to cultivate a broad array of vines. Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, and Muskateller are all currently cultivated. Addressing customers’ needs and tastes, they also grow top-notch Riesling, Scheurebe, Auxerrois, Cabernet, Merlot, Lagrein, and Shiraz. After selective handpicking, these grapes are used to produce high-end red, white, and rosé wines, together with delicious sparkling and dessert wines.
The wine cellar was also rebuilt, keeping in mind the importance of conventional methods. It is outfitted with pressers for soft pressing and stainless steel tanks for productive fermentation under controlled temperature conditions. The wines are stored in wooden barrels and large casks for months to age properly for the integration and complexity of flavors. The cellar also has a separate bottling room.
