Plan a Visit and Uncover Superb Winemaking and a Spacious Guesthouse

Gindorf Winery- a Boutique Winery located in the Mosel

Operated by an American ex-pat family, Gindorf is a boutique winery located in the Lieser region of the Mosel Valley. The vines, beautifully nestled on Mosel hillsides, express the terroir, and enjoy the burst of sun throughout the year.
Nowadays, three generations of the family at Gindorf Winery work together with full dedication and love for their wines.
While on a trip to Europe’s wineries, the family fell for the magnificent beauty of Mosel’s vineyards. Consequently, the owners moved from Texas to Germany and started the winery in 2016. Today, three generations of the family work in the vineyards with full dedication and love for the wines. Pam and John Pfeiffer handle the business aspect of the estate. Their son, Matt Braun, takes care of the winery and wine production while their daughter Kristi Braun operates the guesthouse.

Riesling, Weißburgunder, and Spätburgunder are Grown

The estate owners concentrate on the top-class Mosel vine varieties, including Riesling, Weißburgunder, and Spätburgunder. Varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Kerner, and Dornfelder are also grown. Pam and John produce a wide array of red and rosé wines, combined with top-notch white and sparkling wines. The owners store the wines in wooden barrels for maturation and refining, followed by storing their bottled wines in lattice boxes.

Well-Furnished Guesthouse at the Winery

Gindorf also has a well-furnished guesthouse for visitors to stay overnight. The farmhouse rooms, overlooking the scenic beauty of vineyards, are very cozy and full of modern amenities. They consist of a shower, toilet, TV, sun-baked balcony, kitchen, bar, and much more.

A must do

The afternoon spent with John was awesome. I have zero experience and went with my partner who has a good education in wine. We both thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and sat on the vineyard overlooking the Mosel tasting some great wine. Highly recommended, thanks again Winegut Gindorf

Truely Wonderful Experience

We can thoroughly recommend this wine adventure through the vineyards. We have done several tours but this was exceptional. So interesting to be out in the vines so as to learn more about organic vineyards, part organic and the pros and cons of the options. Loved the wine tasting and explanation out in the vineyards themselves. Would do this tour again.
