The wine company Chelti was founded in 2001. In 2005, the foundation was laid for the construction of winery which was completed in 2006. The main attraction of the winery is the wine cellar, which is located at 7 m deep into the ground. At Chelti, it is their mission as a family-owned business to provide their customers with delicious, award-winning, quality wines that are all hand-crafted locally. The wine is produced here according to the classical and traditional methods. The grape varieties cultivated here are Saperavi, Rkatstiteli, Mtsvane, Kisi and Khikhvi. The winery is equipped with advanced technologies which make it possible to control the wine quality at any stage of its making. They use 8000 years of experience Georgia gained in winemaking.
