No wonder that the oldest wine press (3500 years old) was found in the region, at Vathipetro village. Taste the Best Wines of the region which are awarded prizes in international competitions. Taste the indigenous varieties of Crete such as Dafni Kotsifali, Liatiko, Vidiano, Vilana, Thrapsathiri, Plyto, Malvasia di Candia, Muscat of Spina or the local with International varieties such as Chardonnay, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
