Specialty Varieties and Sustainable Practices

At Agricola Casaioli, we prioritize traditional agricultural practices while integrating modern sustainability. Our winery is powered by a photovoltaic system, ensuring minimal environmental impact. We specialize in breeding Chianina cattle, known for their high-quality meat, and produce a fragrant DOP olive oil that is cherished locally.

Our pride lies in our viticulture, where we cultivate a selection of grapes that yield exceptional wines. Our red varieties include the indigenous Sangiovese, the international Merlot, and the unique Gamay, each expressing the essence of our land. For white wines, we grow Grechetto, a hallmark of Umbria, and Chardonnay, both of which offer excellent structure and delightful fruity aromas.

The land has ties to the ancient Castle of Fontignano, with roots dating back to the 11th century, as documented in the village's historical statutes.
