Agricola Ladogana: A Legacy in Puglia

Located in the scenic Passo d’Orta of Puglia, Agricola Ladogana has been crafting wines for four generations. This family-owned winery is situated in a certified DOC region, surrounded by lush vineyards and stunning landscapes. With a deep respect for the terroir, the winery produces organic wines that capture the essence of the Apulian territory.

Collaboration with Academia

Founded in the early 1900s by Saverio, the great-grandfather of the current owner, the winery has a rich history in Pugliese wine production. In 1956, his son Franco took over, continuing the family tradition with dedication. Franco collaborated with institutions like the Accademia della Vite e del Vino in Florence to enhance their winemaking techniques. Today, Daniela Ladogana oversees the winery's administration, while Frank Ladogana manages its commercial aspects. In 2015, a new cellar was built, equipped with modern technology while maintaining the family’s traditional winemaking practices, including the use of oak barrels for aging.

Taste Award-Winning Organic Wines

Agricola Ladogana is committed to producing wines that reflect their family heritage. They cultivate a variety of grapes, including the renowned Nero Di Troia, Orta Nova, and Greco, alongside high-quality Primitivo, Aglianico, Syrah, and Chardonnay. Their organic offerings include exceptional red, white, and rosé wines, as well as award-winning sparkling wines. Each bottle tells a story of passion and tradition, inviting wine lovers to connect with the rich history of this remarkable winery.

Wonderful wines and great people. Not only are their wines organic, the whole production process uses sustainable energy and even recycled water.

Immersed in the Tavoliere delle Puglie countryside, with a highly qualified staff, it represents a true excellence in the area in the "wine-organic" sector, highly recommended.

A trip to southern Italy should include a visit to the Ladogana farm, located on the magnificent Tavoliere delle Puglie. My interest in wines attracted me to this special location, and it exceeded my expectations. Pioneers in quality organic farming, the Ladogana family has been making wines for four generations. I met with Vittorio, the enologist of 60Passi wines, the largest line of wines at Ladogana. He gave me an expert tour of the facility and hosted me for an amazing degustazione. All wines are organic and all are monovarietals, so it is a place where you can experience pure expressions of delicious local grapes such as Nero di Troia, Primitivo, and Aglianico. Vittorio also features international varietals like Chardonnay, which he makes in a frizzante style--extraordinary! Overall, the quality of the products and the warm hospitality are unsurpassed. You will come away as I did, feeling like part of the family. I can't wait to return.

I had the opportunity to taste all the wines produced by the "Ladogana" winery. Well I must say that it keeps the promises that can already be understood from the wonderful label, a true graphic jewel (I am an esthete and I love beautiful things, even the eyes want their part!): The "Don Franc", Chardonnay, gentle, elegant and fragrant, but at the same time, drinkable, always lively, making it suitable for all festive occasions (this is why we chose it for our wedding day), of a pale straw yellow colour, it supports everything very well a meal at start with the aperitif. Fruity and very fresh, it satisfies even the most demanding palates. To be tried immediately, served chilled but not frozen so as not to lose any of the scents that give joy and harmony to those who drink it. Chapeau!!! 🥂🍾🥂
