Located in Locorotondo, the MIR micro-cellar is set within a charming building dating back to 1860. The upper level features authentic decor that reflects the winery's commitment to sustainability, housing a shop and tasting area. Below, the underground cellar is where MIR Valle D'Itria wines mature in traditional clay amphorae and oak barrels. These limited edition wines are crafted to develop unique characteristics over time, offering a genuine wine experience for all visitors.
Cantina MIR draws inspiration from the rich culture of quality wine that defines the Valle d’Itria. For us, viticulture is an art form that combines discovery and experimentation with a deep respect for the land. Our winemaking practices honor nature's cycles, promoting a holistic approach to progress and well-being. Our wines are crafted with care, allowing them to mature naturally without haste. Excellent tasting of wines of their own production accompanied by delicious local specialties! Highly recommended for those who want to learn more about local wines. The wines are of the highest quality, excellent! The passion that drives these young people is immediately noticeable in their story, starting with the decision to produce high quality wine from local grapes and innovative and ancient techniques. A brave choice that is absolutely worth it! It is a journey through a small but fine winery, a very good tasting of the wines with their history and different production processes, their wines are surprising, as is their journey! All accompanied by the kindness, hospitality and passion of Milda who accompanied us on this beautiful journey. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

If there is one thing you do in Locorotondo, let it be a wine tasting at Cantina Mir. This husband and wife team provided a memorable tasting experience, with some of the best value for money wines we had in Puglia. This winemaker is absolutely going places, so get in now before it’s too late!
