Ampeloeis Winery, established in 2006 by the Tsiola family, embodies a rich tradition of winemaking in the heart of Macedonia, Greece. The name “Ampeloeis” is derived from the ancient Greek term for vineyards, symbolizing the family’s long-standing connection to this craft. With a commitment to producing high-quality wines, the Tsiola family partnered with esteemed French oenologist Noel Rabot, who brings over 40 years of expertise from prestigious wineries around the world.
At the heart of the winery is a magnificent building, adorned with lush vineyards and equipped with state-of-the-art systems. Spanning an area of ​​3,600 square meters, the building houses the production area, the chemical plant, the bottling area and the reception hall, where visitors are warmly welcomed by the Tsiolas family to the world of Ampeloeis.
Going down to the second level, you encounter the underground cellar with the intoxicating aromas that emerge from the full wooden French oak barrels where the wines age in ideal conditions, the comfortable and wonderfully decorated tasting room, having the opportunity to see wines from older years as well as a small exhibition hall with objects related to wine production from earlier years, as handed down to us by our grandparents, the comfortable tasting room and the spacious storage space.
Every inch of the winery has been carefully designed and equipped with the most modern machinery, ensuring that the wines produced at Ampeloeis are of unparalleled quality and uniqueness. From the modern pneumatic press with cryo-extraction capability to the vertical and horizontal automatic winemakers, stainless steel fermentation, stabilization and storage tanks, filtration filter, diatomaceous earth filter and state-of-the-art bottling line, every detail has been meticulously designed and studied with the aim of producing quality wines. Beyond the technical equipment, the winery embodies the true passion of the Tsiolas family for winemaking, which has been passed down from generation to generation.
