Manolesakis - A Legacy of Viticulture Since 1989
Located in the quaint town of Adriani Drama in Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, Estate Manolesakis has been a cornerstone of viticulture and winemaking since 1989. The Manolesakis family has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the vineyards of this historic region, contributing to its rich winemaking heritage.
Meet George Manolesakis
George Manolesakis, along with his son Stavros, is dedicated to every aspect of vineyard cultivation and wine production. Their commitment to respecting nature while optimizing viticultural practices ensures that the wines reflect the unique characteristics of the local microclimate. This dedication to quality and tradition is at the heart of their winemaking philosophy.
Diverse Grape Varieties
In 1998, Estate Manolesakis expanded its facilities with a modern wine production unit, situated on a 200-acre vineyard on the slopes of Adriani. The winery has since embraced a variety of Greek indigenous grapes, including Malagouzia, Moschato Muscat of Alexandria, Assyrtiko, and Agiorgitiko. Over the years, they have also introduced Moschomavro, Limnio, and Pinot Noir, alongside international varieties like Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah.
Visitors to the winery can learn about the winemaking process and the estate's history while enjoying a stroll through the vineyards. Estate Manolesakis produces a range of exceptional red, white, and rosé wines, each reflecting the unique terroir of Macedonia.
