The Jewel of a 190-Hectare Estate

Anchurón Winery, established in 1989 by the Romero Garcia family, is nestled in the picturesque municipality of Darro, at the foothills of the Plateau in northern Granada. This family-run winery is dedicated to producing high-quality wines that celebrate the rich heritage of Granada. The estate spans an impressive 190 hectares, with six hectares devoted to cultivating a variety of red and white grapes. The remaining land is home to olive groves, almond trees, cereals, and diverse wild vegetation. The red grape varieties include Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, while the whites feature Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and a small selection of Muscat of Alexandria.

Crafting Quality Through Tradition

The Romero Garcia family combines years of viticultural knowledge with hands-on experience to create exceptional wines. Their vineyards reflect careful experimentation, adapting to the unique terrain and climate of the region. Anchurón specializes in a range of wines, including vintage, oak-aged, crianza, reserva, and gran reserva, as well as rosé and sweet wines. All wines produced at Anchurón are recognized under the Vino de Calidad de Granada PDO and the Protected Geographical Indication of Vino de la Tierra Altiplano de Sierra Nevada, ensuring quality and authenticity.

An exceptional human and wine experience in a breathtaking setting. A huge thank you to Emilio and his family for their generosity. We left with a few bottles and, above all, memories that we will keep for several years. Gracias Emilio!

The truth is that we did not know the place, but it surprised us satisfactorily, it is a family winery with a lot of charm that I recommend visiting because it was a wonderful experience for both initiates in this world and for those just starting out. In addition to all this, there is a second exceptional part, which is Emilio, our guide on this beautiful walk through the world of wine. He made sure that our visit was very welcoming and also cleared up all our doubts in an easily understandable and technical way. in turn. It was great. I recommend it.
