Sun-Kissed Vineyard on the Adriatic Shore

Have you ever visited the Adriatic coast of Italy? Antica Enotria is an ideal starting point for your exploration of Puglia, a region blessed with an average of 2,600 hours of sunshine each year. The combination of abundant sunlight and the nearby sea, along with the expertise and passion of the Di Tuccio family, creates the perfect environment for cultivating local grape varieties such as Negroamaro, Nero di Troia, and the unique Primitivo. The vineyard stretches for several kilometers, reaching almost to the sea, offering breathtaking views and a rich terroir.

Principles of Organic Farming at Antica Enotria

Since its founding, Raffaele Di Tuccio has embraced organic farming practices, ensuring that every aspect of winemaking is sustainable. This commitment extends beyond wine to include cherry-like tomatoes, artichokes, aubergines, and olives, which the Di Tuccio family uses to create traditional Apulian preserves. With no pesticides or GMOs, and a focus on hand-harvesting, Raffaele’s son Luigi and his wife Valentina continue to uphold these values. As Raffaele wisely stated,
“Listen to the breath of Earth and follow its rhythm.”

Award-Winning Winery

This small family estate in Puglia has received numerous national and international accolades. The German Wine Award organization MUNDUS Vini awarded a Silver medal to the winery’s flagship red, Nero di Troia IGT Puglia. Additionally, the Slow Wine Award committee recognizes Antica Enotria for its contributions to sustainable winemaking, particularly in preserving local traditions, geographical features, and the knowledge passed down through generations.

I tasted the organic olives Bella di Cerignola and I found them fantastic, in addition to the quality-price ratio which is very convenient, considering that it is an organic product. I recommend them to everyone!

Had the pleasure of doing wine tasting at this lovely winery by sheer luck since the winery that we initially wanted to go won’t even entertain us without any reservations. Stumbled upon this winery after roaming around in the area. Luigi, the owner, was very gracious enough to accommodate us without any reservations. The wines are amazing. Both the winery’s Red and White varieties are just spectacular. This is a must place visit for all you wine nerds and affifionados out there. They have superb wines and vintages that shows the love and care that the winemaker/owner has placed in his products. Give this place a visit-you won’t regret it. Will definitely come back here in our next visits in Puglia.
