The Carini family farm has a rich history dating back to the mid-19th century. Initially, grandfathers Peppino and Alfonzo focused on raising livestock and producing wine and olive oil for personal use. In 1970, Bruna and Armando began selling their products locally, paving the way for the next generation. Since 2000, Carlo and Marco have transformed the 140-hectare estate, which includes charming farmhouses and two serene lakes, into a thriving hub for organic wine and olive oil production, as well as Cinta Senese cured meats and pecorino cheese. Today, the fifth generation, Chiara and Luca, bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to the family legacy.

Organic Vineyards on the Slopes of Monte Tezio

The Carini estate spans 140 hectares and employs organic farming practices. The vineyards, featuring Sangiovese, Gamay del Trasimeno, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Grechetto, and Trebbiano, are meticulously managed using cordon-trained, spur, or guyot methods. The marly-arenaceous soil, typical of Umbria, contributes to the unique character of the wines. Since 2016, the estate has proudly held organic certification, reflecting a commitment to high-quality standards and sustainable practices.

Situated between the slopes of Mount Tezio and the shores of Lake Trasimeno, the Carini estate is ideal for cultivating vines and olive trees, as well as raising Cinta Senese pigs.
