The Beginning of an Adventure on a Volcano

Our story began on a charming plot of land, where the beauty of the landscape captured our hearts. This small vineyard, with its terraced fields and ancient lava stone paths, is surrounded by two dormant volcanic cones: Monte Ilice and Monte Gorna. The breathtaking view of the Ionian Sea adds to the allure, making it a truly enchanting place.

Situated on the southeast slope of Mount Etna, the tallest and most active volcano in Europe, our winery benefits from a unique environment for viticulture. At an elevation of 600-800 meters, the rich volcanic soil, infused with essential microelements, nurtures our vines. We cultivate indigenous grape varieties of Etna using traditional methods, ensuring that each bottle reflects the exceptional terroir of our region.

Our commitment to manual vineyard management allows us to produce wines that truly represent the character of Etna. With every sip, you can taste the passion and dedication that goes into crafting our wines, making them a perfect choice for wine lovers and travelers alike.

It is a magical place with unexpected colors. Once you arrive you are overwhelmed by a mix of shades and inebriating scents. From here you can admire the sea in all its splendor, the temperatures are always pleasant and perfect for drinking an excellent glass of Etna red or white that is grown here. A timeless, relaxing and enchanting place. A welcoming place, where you can regenerate and feel good! Highly recommended!!!

Pierluca is very passionate about his vineyard and his wines, and rightfully so. The wines are excellent and we got to enjoy them together with a fantastic panoramic view. We absolutely enjoyed our time here and were positively surprised by the hospitality shown. We will absolutely endeavour to order some wines in the future and support this young and upcoming business.

Pierluca, his vineyard and wines are true gems. He showed us incredible hospitality and shared his delicious and delicate wines along with some small bites in the vineyard with the most beautiful view. He is a true artist and a genuinely good person. We can’t wait to see how his vineyard and wines evolve over the years. Can’t say enough good things about our experience at Barone Beveventano.

This was the most unique and genuine wine tasting experience I've ever come across. There weren't many reviews, but something about this winery felt intriguing. My wife and I decided to give it a try, and we we're so glad we got to experience this. This winery is at it's genesis and I have no doubt that in a few years will be a major player. Pierluca is extremely passionate about his craft - authentic and organic wine made just as it was in the ancient times. He shared his story, his beautiful property, and a very generous tasting of some incredible wines! There's nothing better than drinking fantastic wine in the middle of a vineyard with breathtaking views!

One of the best experiences I have ever had! I will remember my day at Barone Beneventano forever. Pierluca hosted me for a one-on-one wine tasting during sunset. The wines are so delicious and the vineyard is so special. And Pierluca is fantastic!! He is kind, professional, and so knowledgeable about winemaking. I am a young woman traveling alone and Pierluca made me feel very welcome and very comfortable. This was definitely my favorite day in Sicily, it was perfect! Contact Pierluca for a wine tasting- it will be amazing!
