Standing in the heart of a beautiful Tiétar valley, the Huellas del Tiétar winery is located in the mesmerizing hamlet called Lanzahita. Sheltered to the north of the Avila province in Sierra de Gredos, the vineyards produce ancient vines, perfect for the production of quality-rich wines. The estate is dotted by fig trees, pines, strawberry groves, and ancient oaks that offer a breathtaking view to visitors. This charming environment is the main source that gives expression to the wines of the origin.
Recovering historic traditions, Huellas del Tiétar was established by Feliciano Conde, along with his friends, in 2013. The group replanted all the century-old vineyards to produce top-class vines. With utmost dedication, the owner and his colleagues worked for four years and finally in 2017 joined Cebreros Protected Designation of Origin and became certified producers of wines. Their prime wine categories include delicious red and white wines, combined with high-quality rose and other wines, all under OP Cebreros labels.
With complete respect for Mother Nature and its surrounding, the staff at Huellas del Tiétar cultivates a vast range of grapes. It includes Grenache, Verdejo, and Syrah, paired with fruity Tempranillo. The charming countryside, surrounding the vineyards, is the main source that gives expression to these precious vines. Taking care of family traditions and ecological balance, the harvesting is done by hands, which subsequently moved to cellar for fermentation of the best selected grapes.
The actual magic begins in the cellar. In the large steel vats, fermentation takes place and then aging and refining of wines occurs in wooden barrels. After efficient maturation under controlled temperature, the owner delivers the wines for bottling.
