The Alpujarra of Granada

Nestled in the Sierra de la Contraviesa, Bodegas La Divisa benefits from a unique climate shaped by the cold winds of Sierra Nevada and the warm Mediterranean breezes. This combination creates a remarkable temperature variation between day and night, ideal for cultivating complex and flavorful wines.

Century-Old Vineyards of Bodegas La Divisa

Our vineyards, situated in Torvizcón at an elevation of over 1300 meters, span more than 15 hectares and feature a diverse range of grape varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Garnacha, Merlot, and the native Vigiriega. Notably, over 10% of our vines are century-old, allowing us to showcase the true essence of our terroir and the unique characteristics of each plot.

Sustainable, Organic, and Heroic Viticulture

At Bodegas La Divisa, we prioritize sustainable and organic practices, which contribute to the distinct personality and quality of our wines. Recognized within the Denomination of Origin Granada, our wines are both Organic and Vegan. Located in Andalusia, a region rich in history and cultural diversity, we strive to reflect this heritage through our winemaking.

A brave wine proposal with an excellent sommelier who knows what he's doing and a project that we thought was successful and very interesting. One of those places and people that are worth going to the Alpujarra to visit and taste. We wish them the best of luck because they are already doing the hard work.

A spectacular day, with a dazzling view, hosts who take you on a tour of the world of winemaking, as if you were just another grape in the bunch. And the wine... a poem in itself!

We had a memorable experience and La Divisa. The drive was spectacular twisting through the mountains with unbelievable views the entire trip, We did not know what to expect it being off season being the only people visiting, but we soon learned we were in for a treat having our own private tour. You can feel Alejandro’s passion for the wine they craft throughout his description of the process and the many different wines. White, red and rose - we found many we enjoyed. Highly recommend!

This winery offers a truly memorable experience. The tour was engaging, showcasing the intricate winemaking process with great attention to detail. The wines were outstanding—not your everyday bottles, but crafted for those with a refined palate, offering something distinctice and elegant. What truly sets this place apart is the host: incredibly knowledgeable, charming, and dedicated to creating a one-of-a-kind experience for every guest. Though the location is somewhat secluded, the journey is 100% worth it. The drive offers breathtaking views of ever-changing landscapes, and once you arrive, you’re treated to a mesmerizing panorama: the sea on one side and the Sierra Nevada on the other. A must-visit for wine enthusiasts and anyone looking for a unique and exclusive wine experience!

I called and asked if I could come and it turned out to be a unique experience. Excellent trip. The wines are top notch. I didn't know which one to choose from the ones I tried and I bought them all. The unbeatable mountain scenery on one side and the sea on the other. They have never treated me so well.

Visited the winery today! Alejandro was a great host! He could tell us a lot about his wines, his visions and the world of wine! Each wine was explained during the tasting and you quickly found your favorite! A really great wine experience, highly recommended, no rush, everything was calm and there was time for a chat too! The wines will certainly be successful, I'll be happy to come back and will keep an eye on the wines
