Bodega Nietos de Senora Maria is a family winery run by the four grandsons of the orginal Senora Maria. Located in the region of Sierra de Gredos in Alto Aberche, the winery has old roots but has slowly been recovered as the vineyards are ancient and possess superior quality. Vine cultivation at Bodega Nietos de Senora Maria has been ongoing since the eleventh century. Natural and ecological processes ensure the safety of the environment so that future generations will also be able to enjoy the winery.

Winery with Fifty to Seventy Year-Old Vines
Bodega Nietos de Senora Maria ‘s first vineyard was Fuente Seca. The vineyards cover almost three hectares and vine age averages fifty to seventy years old. The winery uses natural manure as fertilizer and takes care of each plot individually to ensure quality. Workers at Bodega Nietos de Senora Maria collect grapes from the vineyards manually. Grapes that have properly matured are selected and gently processed at the winery. Mud and stainless steel tanks help in the process of fermentation. Aging takes place until the wine reaches the perfect balance of taste. Bodega Nietos de Senora Maria Winery tries to produce unique wines that show the work, history, and tradition of their region.
