Bodegas Al Zagal, Making Wines Under Granada DOC
The Bodegas Al Zagal is a winery committed to the production, ageing, bottling and marketing of wines under the Protected Designation of Origin Granada. The winery is present an altitude of more than 1000 meters with stunning panoramic landscapes and natural beauty. The staff has a lot of passion for winemaking and their desire, and hard work helps their wines to achieve the best qualities and features that show the characteristics of their gifted land. Their wines are named after Sultan Abu Abdallah Muhammad-az-Zaghal. He was considered as one of the best strategists. All their raw materials 100% local and a lot of care is taken in the winery from harvesting of grapes to the bottling of wines.
Wines With Exceptional Flavor
Their vineyards are present in the Marquesado del Zenete plains in Aldeire around 1000 meters above sea level. The Aljibillo plot and Torilejo plot have some of their best wines. The winery has around 150 oak barrels and can make 60,000 litres of wine every year. The main grape types that grow here include Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. The best grapes are used to make their famous red and white wines. The wines have an exceptional flavour with a unique personality showing the qualities of their terroir.

The workers are responsible for all the processes like handpicking of grapes, use of modern technology, careful fermentation and ageing, etc. They take care of the environment and promote the use of renewable sources for energy supply.
