Bodegas Godelia is located in Bierzo in the northwest of Spain. This winegrowing region is exceptional for grape growing, a valley surrounded by mountains in which the Sil River flows. The winery was founded in 2009 by the García Rodríguez Family who began to realize their passion for viticulture, winemaking, and their love for nature. They have assembled a team of young, diverse, and highly qualified individuals who strive for perfection in every bottle that comes out of the winery.
The Bodegas Godelia was created to produce Bierzo wines with the utmost respect and authenticity to the history and culture of the region.
Total Vineyard Area of 40 Hectares Growing Mencía, Godello, and Doña Blanca
The Bodegas Godelia vineyards are distributed across many farms in and around the winery with different altitudes and orientation. The collective area of the vines the winery cultivates is about 40 hectares. They grow Mencía, Godello, and Doña Blanca grapes in their vineyards. These varieties are native to this region and not normally found in other areas. They use these grapes to produce red, white, rosé, dessert, and sparkling Bierzo wines. The wines of Bodegas Godelia are unique with different characteristics, aromas, and high gastronomic potential. The winery was created to produce Bierzo wines with upmost respect and authenticity to the history and culture, they are proud to produce wines in the DO Bierzo appellation.
