Guido Bastelli Makes Wines in the Hills Close to Bologna
Guido Bastelli realized his love for grapes and wines when he purchased Cà Bruciata Winery in the late fifties. Guido is no more but his beloved winery still remains managed by his children and grandchildren. Cà Bruciata is situated in the hills of Imola, near Bologna.
The Winery Follows the Philosophy of Quality Wines Instead of Quantity
The estate’s vineyards cover two well-exposed hillsides and their cellar is located at the centre of the vineyards. The land is ideal from the agronomic point of view for growing grapes and the winery has taken full advantage of this. They cultivate local varieties of Albana, Trebbiano, Pignoletto, Malvasia, Traminer, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The family have always followed a philoshophy of quality over quantity.
Selected Grapes Guarantee High Quality Wines at Cà Bruciata
At Cà Bruciata, they only use the best grapes to ensure that the wines produced are up to their highest standards. Due to their location, Cà Bruciata can sell the wines with both DOC Romagna DOC Colli d’Imola classification. Their lines contant red, white, sparkling and dessert wines. The central location of the cellar allows a rapid transport and a fast transformation of the grapes after harvest. Visiting Cà Bruciata’s winery premise, the mix of family wine tradition and the most modern winemaking technologies can be clearly observed. This harmonious marriage of technology and passion have given life to the vintage wines with fine organoleptic characteristics which has been popular in today’s market.
