A Young Winery with a Bright Future

Founded in 2010, Chateau Ateni has quickly made a name for itself in the world of Georgian wine. The first grapes were planted in one of Kartli's oldest vineyards, and by 2015, the winery celebrated a remarkable harvest. In 2016, they opened a modern tasting cellar, where visitors can sample a variety of wines, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling options.

Commitment to Nature and Tradition

Chateau Ateni is dedicated to sustainable viticulture, using traditional methods to cultivate rare grape varieties such as Goruli Mtsvane, Chinuri, and Tavkveri. The vineyard is situated in the ideal micro-zone of Ateni, where the fresh air and fragrant aromas create a captivating atmosphere. Handpicking techniques ensure that only the best grapes are selected for winemaking.

In the winery's cellar, wines are aged in oak barrels and infused with tarragon, reflecting the rich heritage of Georgian winemaking. Their organic production process is meticulously managed, from fermentation to bottling, ensuring high-quality wines that honor the land.

We stayed here overnight and in spite of reaching the cottages very late and providing a very short notice to the owners we were were provided with an extra bed and all the necessities. The cottage was clean and comfortable. Did not have food here so cannot comment on that.

I had the opportunity to participate in a wine tasting and catering at this small factory, a very nice dining area surrounded by the vines, delicious food and good wines.

Small place with magical cottages, the host is super nice and friendly! The cottages are cozy and very warm! We had breakfast and dinner which were top notch, absolutely delicious! All the food was home made, as fresh as you can get! The hotel is located in a very small village and is surrounded with vineyards. The owner has his own wine company in addition to the hotel. Also the hotel is about 10 minutes away from Gori, where you can visit the famous Josef Stalin museum. Had a blast! I would absolutely recommend it!!!

Cottages were very cozy, well decorated. The food and wine are also very tasty. The cottages are close to town which is a nice bonus. And the view around is beautiful.

+ inside the rooms is just wow. Lovely build, with style and love. The person planing the rooms knows about western taste 👍 Even Joop towels and installation is great Dinner and breakfast is made with devotion, no complaints here 40+25 GEL A relaxing cottage for sure! - the wine you can buy here is really expensive (if you are german) We had multiple times some good cheap wine made in Georgia. 40GEL is tough. I am from a wine region and there is no magic in making good wine You shouldn't expect a "chateau" but a half finished nice house with wine manufacturers. Your cottage is in a black yard and the view isn't over wine yards or super romantic. But isn't bad The owners could plant some wine or ivy to cover that gray wall that's in front of the view. Or tell us about the construction site I think it's overpriced for what we got, considering the area. For less then 10gel you can get a Taxi to the city if you use maxim app and have a great time in Gori. Get some 3 Gel red wine from the market by the river 😄
