Welcome to Domaine de La Dourbie

Domaine de La Dourbie has a rich history dating back to 1781. Named after the picturesque La Dourbie River, which flows through the vineyard and into the Hérault River, this winery is a true gem in the Languedoc-Roussillon region.

Winemaking at Domaine de La Dourbie

Since 2009, Domaine de La Dourbie has operated as a fully organic vineyard. Spanning 32 hectares, the estate features 20 hectares surrounding the main building and an additional 12 hectares nestled in a secluded valley. Located 200 meters above sea level and surrounded by garrigue, the vineyard benefits from a unique microclimate that enhances grape quality. Hand-harvested grapes and traditional vinification methods result in wines that reflect the authenticity of the region. The gardens adjacent to the historic country home are recognized as “Remarkable Gardens” in France, adding to the winery's charm.

I had the pleasure of visiting the estate this morning and upon arrival, one is immediately enchanted by the beauty of the place: an authentic setting on the outside and refined elegance on the inside. The welcome by the team made this experience even more pleasant. A big thank you to Alexandre for his fascinating explanations about the vineyard, winemaking and the history of the estate. The tasting was a real moment of pleasure: a superb selection of wines that highlight all the richness and typicality of the Languedoc. An address that I can recommend without hesitation to all lovers of good wine and great discoveries. A big thank you to the whole team for this unforgettable experience!

We had a wonderful day at the Dourbie "brunch". Very good organization with meals on the edge of the estate's lake, tour of the cellar and cellar, tasting of all the wines! Great enthusiasm for the red Malacoste vintage 2021 😍 Go there with your eyes closed, you will be well received!

A great experience in every respect: the organized brunch was magical, the choice between hot and cold dishes was huge, the desserts were amazing!!! For the price, unlimited juice/water/coffee/tea etc. including a glass of wine. Otherwise, purchase by the glass or bottle is possible at very, very reasonable prices (barely more than the catalog price). The place is magical: a lake, green spaces, a bowling alley!!! We had a tour of the cellar and a guided tasting of almost all the wines produced. A real exchange with people who are passionate about their noble profession. A young and dynamic team that breaks the codes of this sector (without denying the work of its predecessors) Bravo. See you next time!!!

We booked an iPad tour but were greeted by a very friendly young man who, since it wasn't busy, gave us a private tour around the entire estate. He spoke English very well and gave us a detailed explaination of almost every bit of the process as well as information about all the grapes and the surroundings of the estate. At the end of the tour we were asked which wines we would like to taste. He encouraged us to pick 5 wines, not only the original 3 we selected. Tasting is free if you buy wine from the shop afterwards, else it would be €10 per person (which is still absolutely worth it). We tasted a rosé, a white wine and 3 red wines, one of which was a bit more exclusive, and all of which were delicious. We left with a box of one variety and two bottles of another. Would defenitely recommend doing a tour and tasting here.
