Domaine de Saint Cels is more than just a winery; it is a heartfelt family story rooted in the beautiful Languedoc region, specifically the Saint-Chinian appellation. Our vineyard thrives on a unique combination of soils, including shale and limestone-clay, alongside a diverse selection of local grape varieties. The Mediterranean climate, enriched by the surrounding pine and garrigue vegetation, creates the perfect environment for crafting wines that embody pleasure, elegance, and excellence. Here, the concepts of “terroir” and “biodiversity” are at the core of our identity.
Honoring Tradition
Our approach to viticulture is deeply influenced by the traditional methods passed down through generations. Inspired by Etienne’s expertise and our grandfather’s legacy, we have gradually shifted towards a more sustainable form of winemaking. We aim to move away from mechanization and modern trends, choosing instead to cultivate our land with care and respect.
In 2017, Marie transitioned from a successful 25-year career in the pharmaceutical industry to join the family business. She has since focused on refreshing our brand and expanding our reach, sharing our wines with enthusiasts beyond our local borders.
