Domaine De Saumarez Winery Make Quality Organic Wines

The Mediterranean climate in the vineyards of Domaine De Saumarez Winery provides the grapes the environment they need. The soil here at Languedoc-Roussillon consists of Jurassic limestone and calcite and no systematic chemicals are used in the vineyards. Domaine De Saumarez leaves it to the natural flora and fauna to flourish the grapes. Grapes like Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Sangiovese, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Rousanne call the vineyards here their home. The compost that goes in the soil for these grapes is made from dried grape skins, horse manure and straw. Their production is 100% organic.

Wine Making from the Experts

At Domaine De Saumarez, grapes are handled with the utmost care. Grapes are brought into the cellar in optimum condition. The wine is pumped as little as possible, letting gravity do most of its magic. Fermentation of the grapes take place in concrete tanks or oak barrels and aged in the same to ensure that they mature to perfection and the taste is divine.
