Exceptional Terroir for Quality Wine Production

If you are a wine enthusiast visiting the Loire Valley, a stop at Domaine de Haute Perche is a must. This winery is ideally situated and produces wines from two renowned appellations: Anjou Villages Brissac and Coteaux de l’Aubance. The Anjou Villages Brissac area surrounds the Château de Brissac Quincé, the tallest castle in France. Its proximity to the Loire River, the longest river in France, contributes to the wines' excellent aging potential, resulting in rich, sweet, and fresh flavors. The Coteaux de l’Aubance appellation, located on the left bank of the Loire, benefits from moisture that encourages noble rot, enhancing the wines' soft texture and remarkable taste.

Biodynamic Practices at Domaine de Haute Perche

Founded in 1966 by Agnès and Christian Papin in Saint Melaine sur Aubance, the winery is now under the stewardship of their daughter Véronique, who initiated the transition to organic farming. The new owner, a Parisian accountant with a passion for wine, is investing in biodynamic practices. The vineyards are nurtured by respecting natural cycles, lunar phases, and the ecosystem, ensuring a holistic approach to viticulture. Guided tours of the vineyard and cellar are available upon request (Price: 5 to 10€, depending on age and group size), offering a unique view of the Aubance River and insights into the winemaking process.

Experience Wine Tasting at Domaine de Haute Perche

Visitors can enjoy complimentary wine tastings at the winery, where you can sample popular selections such as Anjou White, Gamay, Coteaux De L’Aubance “Cuvée Tradition,” Crémant De Loire White, and Rosé De Loire. Join the winery in celebrating their rich heritage and expertise in winemaking.

Domaine Haute Perche is a terrific place to enjoy some of the most remarkable wines of the Loire region. I highly recommend making a trip to this area and try the pleasant mix of different wines offered here, particularly the Clos des Constants!

The manager of the place met us with a warm welcome. Their collection of wine was of great quality and taste and we ended up buying 3 bottles, crémant de loire, Rougissez and Anjou gamay. Extra plus that they are biodynamic and organic! :) If you are in the neighborhood you definitely have to pay a visit to this vineyard!

A newly renovated, magnificent property. A welcome and a tour of the property by Perrine, whose explanations were very clear and detailed! The tasting afterwards was exquisite and we left with a full trunk... Don't hesitate, try it! Pierre and Justine.

We came on recommendation and were not disappointed! The welcome is very warm and the surroundings are great. The wine selection is varied and delicious at the same time. It's also great to find good sparkling grape juice without alcohol!
