Philosophy of The Winery
The philosophy of Pierre & Bertrand Couly can be summarised as respect and creating the purest expression of the terroir. In the vineyards, the greatest attention is paid to the smallest details. Pruning allows the yields to be regulated and during the spring, frost on the vines is combatted manually with wax candles. During the harvest, the best harvesting methods are selected based on the optimal day and time for each plot. The cellar is considered an extension of the work done in the vineyards. Each plot is separately vinified and the wines are fermented and aged in stainless steel vats. No sulfites are used thanks to the native yeasts that exist in the grapes. The Pierre & Bertrand Couly wines are left to age in the bottle, producing a smooth wine that is a pleasure to drink. The wines of Pierre & Bertrand Couly are all a true reflection of the passion and the love of the Pierre Bertrand Couly family and are a pleasure for all wine lovers to enjoy.
