Their travels to renowned wine regions in Portugal, California, and Australia enriched their knowledge of winemaking. In 2015, they realized their dream by establishing El Hato Y El Garabato.
The winery's strength lies in its commitment to organic practices and the use of rare local grape varieties. Some of the unique grapes cultivated here include Juan Garcia, Doña Blanca, Tinta Jeromo, Puesta en Cruz, and Mandon. A pleasant surprise to find this family winery, with very good wine, good taste, excellent service and in a town, Formariz, that is well worth a visit. José spreads his passion for his work, his wines and the land he has chosen for his life project. Highly recommended.

It is a family winery with traditional production. It is part of the Zamora wine route. In it you can learn how native grape wine is produced from harvest to sale. You will taste different types of white, red and rosé wine. A unique and very special experience

My first contact with Arribes wine and I couldn't have chosen better. A charming project, artisanal wines and a different concept. The treatment has been very close and pleasant. I have tried several whites and reds, with different nuances but the same philosophy, a rosé and even an orange wine. Some of them straight from the barrel!
