Established in 1725, Fabrica De Hojalata has transformed from a tin factory into a renowned winery specializing in organic and natural wines. This historic site, over 300 years old, is nestled within the largest biosphere reserve in Europe, providing a unique environment for winemaking.
The estate boasts 15,000 vines, featuring a diverse selection of grape varieties. Among them are 6,000 Pinot Noir vines, recognized by the European Union as the southernmost plantation of this variety in Europe. Additionally, the winery cultivates 3,500 Moscatel Morisco, a native grape from the Serranía de Ronda, along with 3,000 Tintilla de Ronda and 3,500 Garnacha Tintorera. Spanning three hectares, the vineyards are strategically planted across different terrains, including flat land and gentle slopes, each contributing distinct characteristics to the wines.

It was quite a discovery, it is a truly charming place. Every corner has a special charm. We felt very welcomed by everyone, a very pleasant atmosphere and experience. The tasting was very interesting as you learn details about the unique wines they make there, accompanied by delicious homemade appetizers. I would love to return and continue learning from the lovely people at the Antigua Fábrica, as well as enjoy their accommodation. I hope to return soon ~🌼

A unique and unforgettable experience in the heart of the Ronda mountains. We took part in a wine tasting where everyone present made an effort to make our visit as close, comfortable and pleasant as possible. The natural wine served with the appetizers matched perfectly. The facilities are located in the middle of a beautiful rural setting, surrounded by vegetation and isolated from the world, ideal for disconnecting. I look forward to trying the accommodation because you really feel like part of the wonderful family they have there. Thank you for the treatment and the pleasant welcome!

Best experience of our trip to Ronda. Enrique has created an oasis of natural wine, creative food, and quality hospitality on a 300 year old property. The road to get there requires a high clearance vehicle with good tires. It is worth the drive.
