Our visit to Fabrica De Hojalata was everything we could have wanted and more. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and we learned so much about the winery. It is a beautiful exquisite and a little slice of heaven on earth. The wines are delicious. Thank you Bartak, Christian and Enrico. We will be back some day.
We had a fantastic experience visiting the Bodega Fabrica de Hojalata, a self contained microcosm of creativity in the spheres of agriculture, natural wine making, architectural restoration, and gastronomy. The vineyard inhabits a once abandoned 18th century tin factory, lovingly restored to become a working vineyard and winery. (The restoration itself won two prestigious awards and was declared a historical industrial monument). The drive from Ronda is on a beautiful, windy mountain road with incredible vistas and charming towns. Enrique is a magnanimous host, the wine and food were superb and the conversation enlightening and inspirational. This was one of the top experiences of an exceptional week in Spain.
