We did a wine tasting at this magnificent family winery and were delighted. We were a group of five, and the service was very pleasant, in English. The tour of the winery amazed us. We were able to buy wine on-site and try their "Sang du Dragon."

Discovery of the winery followed by an excellent tasting of the different wines. Very good exchange with the winemaker who taught us a lot about his profession. We recommend the experience!

An exceptional visit to Domaine François Baur in Turckheim! Discovering the cellars with Philippe's fascinating explanations was a highlight. Philippe is very friendly and takes the time to share his know-how and the history of the estate. The tasting was complete, generous and even accompanied by a few extras, which far exceeded our expectations. The "Sang du Dragon" wine was not at the tasting, but we had the chance to taste it at Chalet le Collet: a real gem, a marvel to savor! This is definitely an estate to follow closely. If you are passing through the region, do not miss this unique experience. Congratulations to the whole team for your welcome and your remarkable work!

A little pricey but a delicious wine. The dragon's blood is wonderful. Special mention to the slightly tipsy winemaker who told us the legend of the dragon, but we didn't really understand his story 🥲😂

After eating at the restaurant (Caveau du Vigneron) and tasting the wines, we also stopped at the shop the next day. A friendly gentleman gave a good explanation about the wines. When we return we will definitely do the tour again.

We were allowed to be guests in the apartment. Very nice, clean apartment, and given the temperatures during the week we were very happy about the air conditioning. Very friendly staff who are always helpful and speak very good German. The wine is also very fine and is therefore recommended. Overall, we were even able to learn a lot about wine production by hiking in the area and tasting wine. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful experience. Beautiful, serene setting right in the old village of Turckheim. Centuries old establishment. Philippe was our host for the tour of the cellars and in the tasting room. His knowledge of the operation and the wines definitely showed. He guided us as we sampled 7 wines in all and purchased two. Don't miss the pinot noir, a real surprise. When done, take the time to walk the old streets of Turckheim and view the vineyards as they climb up the hills behind the village.

We were guests in the holiday apartment and were very satisfied. The apartment is very stylishly furnished, centrally located but still quiet. The owner and his staff were extremely friendly. The wine is highly recommended. From here you can easily explore Alsace by bike or car.

We were lucky enough to have the wine tasting done by the boss himself. A very informative and informative experience. We were able to visit the cellars and taste several wines that we bought. We recommend this winemaker who is the ninth generation of the estate.

I have been to Turckheim over a year ago and can totally advice going there. Check out the fairytale vibe of the village and the wine of this winery during the tastings in their courtyard. This year I got married and one of my biggest wishes was to serve both, the Riesling and the Crément of Francois Baur. Everyone loved it and the magnum bottles were an absolute showstopper! We were looking for a full-bodied red wine from the region. We found a delicious Pinot Noir here. The shop is located in a charming courtyard, where you can taste the wines in a sort of chamber.

Very delicious food and great wines. The service speaks German, but also English and Italian if necessary.

15 days of vacation in a spectacular territory and kind people. We fell in love with Turckheim and Alsace. Also thanks to the kindness of Thomas Baur, discreet but present host, and his staff. Beautiful visit to their cellars, pleasant tasting for quality products and informative about the territory. We will return! (and I can't wait)
