Jean BECKER, an old Alsace wine familly

The history traces back to 1610, in 1848 they were also wine shipper. Today, 2 brother & a sister Jean Philippe oenologue is the signature helped by Jean-François, Martine the sister helped by Audrey maître Sommelière are doing the sales & commercial part of the estate. In total, the vineyard covers an area of 25 hectares. They grow all the varietals have excellent Grands Crus FROEHN - SCHOENENBOURG - SONNENGLANZ & MANDELBERG. The conversion to organic is from 1999, and today biodynamic. in addition since 2019 ORANGE wines & skin contact VINS BIO NATURE are available too.

The Unique Terroir of Vins Becker

The soil of Vins Becker vineyards have a unique geology of bedrock with a small amounts of limestone. During the winemaking process, only the free run juice is used to produce the wines, the remaining berries are pressed again and the juice is sold seperately. They prefer the use of natural yeasts and limit the filtration to the maximum. Maceration is traditional and short for rosé and extended for red. PINOT NOIR as Red wines are matured in barrels with only a small proportion of new oak. The wines are crisp and dry, with a nice body and revealing the characteristics of the terroir. Vins Becker’s top range Riesling has a fresh minerality and aromas of apricot, pineapple, and spices. The youthful and intense flavors will surely please your senses.
