Raquel's attention was wonderful. We were lucky enough to take the tour alone with her, and it was a truly enjoyable experience. It's clear she loves her job and is fully committed to it. The tour of the Third Order was very nice. You don't get to see the winery; the new facilities will have their own tasting room (we did it at the Third Order), but it's still under construction. We tasted (and ordered) four wines. Javier Sanz doesn't disappoint.

The experience of visiting the vineyards and the subsequent tasting in the church couldn't have been better; Raquel's joy and good work, along with great wine and wonderful weather, were the ideal plan for a Sunday morning. Highly recommended!

It was a pleasure to visit PAGO DE SALTAMONTES - La Seca. These pampered Verdejo vines, dating back to the pre-phylloxera era, are one of the oldest vines registered in the DO. Rueda. Its roots penetrate deep into 7 meters of clay soil with sediment, producing a low yield with numerous herbal nuances that shine with delight in their signature versions. Tasting their creations in the Church of the Third Order, renovated by and for the winery and intended to be a landmark of the municipality, is a double pleasure. These versatile Verdejos, also FB, offer a gastronomic level that we strive to recapture. Congratulations to the entire team at Bodegas Javier Sanz! 👏🏻👏🏻

We had a great time tasting and visiting the vineyard. The work they did in restoring the Church of the Third Order was spectacular. The wines are magnificent, and with the good work and enthusiasm Raquel puts into the presentation... nothing can go wrong. Thank you.

Together with my wife and our two daughters we had a fantastic wine experience in La Seca (close to Rueda) at Bodega Javier Sanz Viticultur! If you want to taste beautiful Verdejo wines of high quality, then you should visit this family owned bodega. Raquel showed us around at the 150 year old wineyard where you can see the grapes. She also accompanied us during the tasting of 4 wines in a beautiful building, which was a church in the past. Raquel is very friendly, speaks English fluently, has professional wine knowledge and takes the time to answer your questions. It was really excellent!

What a tremendous tasting and bodega visit….you MUST visit if you are in the area; the wines are absolutely delicious 😋 and very good value for money (check out their ratings on Vivino). My husband and I had a wonderful experience, which was enhanced by Raquel…a súper profesional, interesting and knowledgeable individual with excellent language skills (we spoke in spanish and English). Highly recommend a visit!!

We visited the bodega during a trip to Valladolid on very short notice, and were so happy to meet Raquel, who accommodated our very tight schedule, and we couldn't have started the weekend any better! 🤩 Raquel is a ray of sunshine, very kind and knowledgeable. She shared so much of her knowledge about Javier Sanz' wines, the production, and the wine region of Rueda with us. The wines we sampled were all simply amazing, very varied in style and taste. The first time perhaps, we were unable to pick a 'favourite' wine because each was uniquely great. Highly recommended! But Raquel's positive, charismatic and charming personality are what made the visit so exceptional and memorable. Hands down, this was the best wine tasting we've experienced.

We took a tour of the estate during our visit of the Rueda region. The organisation of the tour was very friendly and professional, from the first contact up until the afterservice (since we wanted to order a bottle of their special “Colorado” wine). The tour was conducted by Raquel, who was very pleasant, passionate and gave us a great tour through the vineyards and accompanies us through the tasting of their excellent wines. Keep up the good work. I would recommend this tour to everybody who visits the Rueda region.
