Medici Ermete Estate is nestled in the heart of the Lambrusco Reggiano DOC production area, along the picturesque Enza River valley. This region features gravelly soil, ideal for cultivating premium grapes. The estate itself is housed in a charming 18th-century farmhouse, surrounded by the natural beauty of the landscape.

The History of Medici Ermete

Founded in 1890 by Remigio Medici, who initially ran three successful taverns, the winery was established to maximize the potential of the family vineyards located between Via Emilia and the Enza valley foothills. Remigio’s son, Ermete, expanded the winery's reach and solidified its reputation. The legacy continued with his sons, Valter and Giorgio, who began exporting wines, further enhancing the brand's presence. This marked the beginning of Medici Ermete's rich history.

Today, the winery spans approximately 80 hectares of organically grown vineyards in Emilia-Romagna's most esteemed wine-producing areas. Now in its fifth generation, led by Alessandro, the Medici family combines extensive vineyard knowledge with winemaking expertise, exporting their exceptional wines to over 70 countries worldwide.
