In Kakheti, Georgia lies the Mestvireni winery. It is a family-owned winery. All of the ancestors of the present owner were winemakers from the Kakheti region. They have a very unique authentic place on the Alazani valley with mindblowing views of the Caucasus Mountains.

The winery boasts of producing 5 uniquely different wines and 9 Years aged cognac and peach brandy.

They also offer various cheese tasting, and dinner with their polyphonic ensemble “mestvireni”, plane tours around Kakheti, kvevri tour and wine tour. This place is for people who want to feel real Georgia.

Different Grape Varieties

With complete respect for Mother Nature and its surrounding, the staff at Mestvireni cultivates a wide range of variety of grapes in their vineyards. Some of them include Rkatsiteli, Saperavi, Kisi, and Khikhvi. These grapes are handpicked by the staff and taken to the cellars for wine-making. The charming countryside, surrounding the vineyards, is the main source that gives expression to these precious vines. The prime wine categories produced at the winery are red, white, and dessert wines. The wines produced are sold under the labels Rkatsiteli(Kvevri), Saperavi, Kisi, Khikhvi.
