Innovative Puglia Winery with Unique Chromo Ink Labels
Azienda Agricola Romaldo Greco: A Family Legacy
Founded in 1973 by Romaldo in the charming village of Secli, Azienda Agricola Romaldo Greco is a family-owned winery deeply rooted in the Salento Peninsula. Romaldo's dedication to the land has driven his commitment to enhancing grape quality and production. In 2005, his son Antongiulio joined the winery, introducing modern techniques and innovative practices that have further refined their winemaking process.
Vineyards of Distinction
The winery's vineyards span nearly 15 hectares across various locations, including Murrone, Conte Grande, Renda, and Valentini. The predominantly clay-based soil, with its medium texture, supports a diverse range of grape varieties. Native grapes such as Primitivo and Negroamaro thrive here, alongside international varieties like Syrah, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. This blend of tradition and innovation ensures the production of high-quality wines that reflect the unique terroir of Puglia.
Azienda Agricola Romaldo Greco collaborates with the international wine consulting agency Gruppo Matura to enhance their winemaking decisions.
Innovative Labeling Technology
One of the standout features of Romaldo Greco wines is their use of thermal chromo ink on labels. This technology allows the labels to glow when the wine reaches its ideal serving temperature, providing a visual cue for wine lovers. The logo remains colorless until the perfect temperature is achieved, making each bottle not just a wine but an experience.
