Venturini Baldini, in the Heart fo Emilia-Romagna
Venturini Baldini Winery was founded in 1976 on a historic estate in the hills between Parma and Reggio Emilia, in the province of Reggio Emilia. The estate has a rich historical heritage and the current Villa Mandori, built on Matildic foundations dates back to the early 16th century. Venturini Baldini are proud producers of premium wines that are deeply rooted in the tradition of Emilian winemaking but also use cutting-edge, modern technology. The hills surrounding the estate reach an altitude of 370 metres and provide an excellent microclimate for growing vines. Venturini Baldini owns 130-hectare of land, comprising 30 hectares of vineyards and the rest and woods and pastures. Their vineyards were one of the first in Emilia Romagna to obtain an organic certification. In addition to cultivating varieties of Lambrusco such as Sorbara, Grasparossa and Salamino, the winery also grows Malvasia di Candia Aromatica, Pinot Nero, Pinot Meunier and Pinot Grigio.
The Winery Has Their Own Vinegar Factory
Venturini Baldini Winery also has their own Acetaia di Canossa, a historic vinegar factory, housed in a building from the 17th century, located in the upper part of the estate. The acetaia houses more than 400 small barrels from different woods for vinegar production. They produce Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia and exquisite condiments.
