The History of the Winery Since 1992

The history of Txakoli Talai Berri begins in 1992 when Bixente Eizaguirre, following his ancestors’ footsteps and teachings, decided to establish a full-fledged winemaking estate. With great love for the family business and respect for nature and biodiversity, the owner Talai Berri Txakolina Winery combines both traditional and innovative methods of vine cultivation. He introduced the Integrated Production System in the winery to deliver high-end products to customers, within the Getariako Txakolina DO status.

12 Hectares of Vineyards are Planted with Two Unique Local Grape Varieties, Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltza

Covering a land of 12 hectares, the vineyards are located in the finest appellations of Getariako Txakolina region. On the viticulture land, Bixente Eizaguirre, the owner, and founder of Txakoli Talai Berri Winery grows two unique local vine varieties, Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltza. During the harvesting season, the staff carefully selects the best bunches and transports them to the cellar for further processing. Using these high-quality wines, the owner produces authentic wines at Talai Berri Txakolina accompanying their top-class vinegar production.

The cellar at Talai Berri Txakolina Winery is open for guests to visit and outfitted with large stainless steel tanks for the finest fermentation of grapes. We encourage you to book a visit and explore the wonders of Txakolina in northern Spain.
