Tenuta Neri, Following Dreams into A Reality
The story of Tenuta Neri and its founder, Luigi Neri, is a typical one of Romagna. With a dream to succeed and passion for winemaking, he established the winery in 1951 on the beautiful hills of Cesena, Emilia Romagna. In the time when urbanization and industrialization was the norm, he stuck to development of his land to produce grapes for winemaking and due to this dedication, Tenuta Neri has reached the heights in every step of the way. His family always had their back and now, his grandchildren Valeria and Giovanni manage the family business.
The Winery Situated a Stone’s Throw from the Sea
Tenuta Neri winery is spread across 62 hectares of land, in which 21 hectares are used for grape cultivation. They grow grape varieties such as Sangiovese, Albana, Bombino Bianco, Trebbiano, Lambrusco, Barbera, Montepulciano and Merlot in their hilly vineyards with gentle slopes, located about 15 kilometers from the sea.
DOC and DOCG Wines in Romagna
The vineyards are all within the DOC and DOCG areas of Romagna and they put a special care in following traditional and regulatory measures to produce the best grapes that in turn are used to create amazing wines. They make wines exclusively from their own grapes. Tenuta Neri’s vineyard practices and winemaking processes must be commended as their wines have won major awards and medals in recent years.
