The origins of Tili Vini trace back to the 1200s, although the identity of its founder remains a mystery. Since 1978, the current owner has been dedicated to upholding the Tili family legacy. With a deep passion for winemaking, the owner aims to share these wines with enthusiasts around the globe. Today, Tili Vini exports its wines to countries including the USA, Japan, Germany, and Austria.
At Tili Vini, the team employs a blend of traditional and modern viticulture techniques, prioritizing environmental sustainability. The owner practices careful plowing and short pruning while avoiding pesticides. The vineyard cultivates a diverse selection of grapes, including Grechetto, Chardonnay, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cannaiolo, and Sagrantino, along with Pinot Nero, Semillon, and Trebbiano. With organic certification, the winery produces a range of delightful red and white wines, as well as dessert and sparkling varieties. Additionally, Tili Vini maintains olive groves featuring Moraiolo and Frantoiana, producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil within the Assisi DOC and Umbria IGT regions.

We had booked a lunch and wine tasting for 4 people. What we received was so much more than that – it was a family welcoming with excellent service and food. First the service and wine tasting aspect. The woman guiding us gave such personality to her descriptions as she went. She was always referring to what Mama liked and wanted and didn’t like and want. It gave great personality to the descriptions. She was also very knowledgeable about the wines and how they compared to other wines of the world. We expect that an upscale winery, what was not expected was how good the quality of the food was for a lunch. Each wine brought a new course and with each one our foursome was even more impressed. The chef here could go it alone as a restaurant even without the wine sampling. Then, as we were waiting our final course and wine, who should show up at the table to great us but Mama herself. A charming woman who also knows her wine. We were the last table to empty from the lunch offering and went through the building to our car. Sitting there as we left was the entire team sitting down for a glass of wine and a lunch for themselves. What a perfect place.

We had an amazing cooking class at Tili 21 - so much fun. We made beautiful pasta, meatballs, and tozzetti with Maria. The views are amazing and the food and wines were delicious. Grazie mille.

We visited Tili and were very satisfied with the visit! At our appointment at 9am we were greeted by Giulia who showed us the cellar and presented her reality! From there we went by car to a small wood not far away where we started a pleasant truffle hunt with Dodo and Annalaura, a very nice activity and with quite a lot of prey 😋 When we went to their tasting room we were entertained by Pietro with whom we had a long and very pleasant conversation and who explained to us the origin of their surname! We tasted two whites, a rosé and three reds, divided between starter, first course and second course! I can only praise the visit and recommend it! 🙂
