When guests come to the cellar for tastings, they visit the original structures, which have since undergone renovation, all in keeping with the historicity of the place. Visitors are taken to all three levels of wine making areas – upstairs where they can see the open oak vats for the primary fermentatoin, the second level where they can see the fermentation process and the ground level with smaller barrels for ageing wine. Following this, they are taken undergound for wine tasting from a selection of fine wines including red wine, white wine, dessert wine and fortified wines.
Transport between Plovdiv and Brestovitsa can be arranged at an additional cost and all wine tasting options are accompanied by bread and cheeses. In warmer weather, guests often arrange parties there, enjoying lamb or pork spit-roasted in the courtyard while tasting the cellar’s wines.
