Vinaguarena cellar is a winery situated in the Castilla Y Leon region that is famous for its Toro wines. It has a lot of historical prestige, and many writers like Gongora and Quevedo made allusions to the wine. The ancient Kings used to consume Toro wine. The region was a center of politics and power in the past.
The region has suitable conditions for vine plantations. The soil has a lot of sand and is clayey, which assists growth. There are a lot of small slopes and hills. The Hornija and Duero rivers flow through this region. The place has an extreme continental climate. Winters are extremely harsh and cold while the summers are a bit short and not very hot. Almost 400 mm of rainfall and vast temperature differences between day and night lead to the proper growth of grapes.
